Walking Football

Wikipedia has this to say about Walking Football:
"Walking football is a variant of association football that is aimed at keeping people aged over 50 involved with football if, due to a lack of mobility or for other reason, they are not able to play the traditional game. The sport can be played both indoors and outdoors."

The UK Walking Football Association describes the health benefits as:
Keeps you fit & healthy
Reduces stress
Reduces risk of cardiovascular disease & strokes
Improves blood pressure & blood sugar levels
Improves balance & strength
Improves reaction times
Boosts self-esteem & confidence

But what really matters is that it is open to all members of our U3A and is great fun. We meet in the Pemberton Centre on Tuesdays at 13:00 for an hour. The Centre provides the court, equipment and coach/referee, and it only costs £3 per person per session. Why not give it a try?
