Country Park Walks

The Walks are Suitable for Members who want to walk at a slightly slower pace to enjoy the scenery. Mostly the walks are about 2.0-2.5 miles starting at 10.30am and finishing about 12 noon. Some of the group, after the walk, enjoy lunch in a local pub. Please let me know if you would like to stay for lunch as I need to book a table (Sylvia)

SUNDAY 10 MARCH WALK - Irthlingborough Lakes & Meadows

Meeting at 10.30am in the free car park by the Church on the High Street, for a 2-2.5 mile walk mainly along made up paths between the lakes. Beautiful scenery, and a number of water birds can be viewed. If you would like to take photos, please bring your camera. For those who like to have lunch after the walk, it will be 12.30pm at the Olde Vic Pub, Burton Latimer. If you just want to do part of the walk, or only join us for lunch, you are very welcome. Lifts can be arranged from Higham and Rushden.

As I will need to firm up the numbers for the lunch booking, could you please telephone or text me by the 4th March, if you would like to have lunch.

We are a friendly social group so if you are a slow walker, we will wait for you to catch up. Any member/s of the u3a are very welcome to join us on this on this walk as a sample to see if they would like to become a member of the group.
