HIGHCLERE CASTLE - Due to popular demand, we have now arranged two trips:
Wednesday 14 July 2021, cost £36 per person, dependant on numbers.
Wednesday 1 September 2021, cost £36 per person, dependant on numbers.
Highclere Castle is where the TV series Downton Abbey was filmed, and the anticipated cost inclusive for the coach and ticket entry to the Castle and Exhibition will be £36 per person dependent on numbers.
The bookings are for a self tour of the Castle, the Egyptian Exhibition and the Gardens. The special 2021 Egyptian Exhibition covers 6 rooms and explores the discovery of the most famous tombs and includes the magnificent reproduction of the Sarcophagus, so whether you are a Downton Abbey follower, enjoy beautiful gardens or are interested in the Egyptian exhibition, there is something of interest for everyone. There is also a tea room and gift shop for you to enjoy during your visit.
We are using RB Travel for the private coach, and the pickups will be at Higham Ferrers and then Rushden around about 9am (exact time to be confirmed) for our entry ticket to the Castle at 12 noon. The journey will take approximately 2 hours plus a comfort stop. Further details will follow.
If you are interested in this trip, please get in touch with Jean Mole (01933 626608) or Sylvia Wright via the Contact page as soon as possible to register your interest.
